All The Feels: 6-Year-Old Overcome With Emotion Watching His Mother Walk Down The Aisle

On September 4, 2016, photographer Paul Woo captured a moment so pure and heartfelt that it continues to touch people nearly a decade later. In a now-viral image, 6-year-old Bryson Suber bursts into tears as he watches his mother walk down the aisle to marry his father. Although the photo was taken almost two years prior to its breakout online, the emotional snapshot of then-5-year-old Bryson has resurfaced and once again melted hearts across social media (source: People Magazine).

Woo, who photographed the entire ceremony by himself, said he immediately knew he had witnessed something extraordinary. “I was secretly bawling behind the camera and had to prioritize this moment over the bride coming down the aisle,” he told People. “Yes, I got both photos, but I knew this moment was THE moment.”

During the ceremony, Bryson stood proudly beside his younger brother, Brayden, serving as ring bearers for their parents, Bryant and Tearra Suber, who had been high school sweethearts long before starting their family. As Tearra entered the aisle inside the scenic Pinnacle Golf Course in Grove City, Ohio, she noticed an unexpected sight—her oldest son overwhelmed with emotion.

“I didn’t actually see Bryson’s reaction until I was about halfway down the aisle,” Tearra said. “He was very emotional, and it was a powerful moment for me because of what this day meant for us as a family.” Her son’s tears reflected a deep understanding, even at his young age, of the significance of the moment—his parents formalizing the love and partnership that had shaped his life (source: Today Show).

Later, Tearra shared her thoughts in a heartfelt Instagram post, expressing how touched she was by Bryson’s reaction. “I hadn’t yet realized that my sweet, soulful, oldest baby boy was also sharing in on this moment so deeply, with us,” she wrote. “Taking in every breath right along with us! To see him share such strong emotions of joy and happiness for the union of his parents was one of the most powerful moments I’ve experienced to date.”

Additional photos from Bryant and Tearra’s wedding day reveal a celebration filled with joy, pride, and the warmth of a family who had already built a strong foundation long before the ceremony. Friends and loved ones who attended commented on the genuine love radiating from the couple and their children, describing the day as one of unity and affirmation (source: USA Today).

It’s no surprise that the photo continues to circulate widely. Images of authentic family love, especially moments shared between parents and children, often resonate deeply with viewers—and Bryson’s tender display of emotion remains one of the most touching wedding moments captured in recent years.

We’re not crying, you’re crying. Cheers to Black love, family, and the kind of moments that remind us how powerful pure emotion can be.
