Bill Gates reveals profession which will remain '100% human' even after AI replaces most jobs
Gates emphasizes the role's exclusively human elements
Bill Gates has now revealed which job he believes is guaranteed to still be '100% human' in the coming years, despite artificial intelligence taking over countless forms of employment.
Many people across the globe are rightfully worried about their future employment prospects as AI has already demonstrated its ability to tear up and replace countless different types of jobs.
Experts have outlined which roles have already been made redundant with the rise of tools like ChatGPT, and we've even seen instances where veteran doctors fear for their jobs as LLMs replicate knowledge that has taken decades to master.
If you listen to many major tech leaders though then the worst is still yet to come with some projecting that just a handful of jobs will be left following the AI revolution.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has offered up his own prediction of the one role he thinks will survive though, and it's one that you might not necessarily expect.
What job does Bill Gates think will survive AI?
As reported by Windows Central, Bill Gates has recently predicted that programmers will be immune to the effects of artificial intelligence, and will remain a role dominated by humans even 100 years into the future.
That might seem like a surprising and perhaps unrealistic prediction for some, as companies including Meta and Gates' own Microsoft have already implemented strategies to aggressively replace coding staff with AI agents, but the billionaire has provided the reasoning behind his bold prediction.

Gates argues that programming isn't a role that can be performed with automation, which is where AI currently thrives, due to its complexity. Issues like identifying and correcting errors are tasks that he believes would be impossible for artificial intelligence to perform at an adequate standard, and therefore humans will reign supreme.
Additionally, he outlines his belief that AI cannot replicate the creativity and judgement that humans are capable of, and that will remain a clear dividing line between man and machine even after a century of improvements to the tech.
What other jobs could still be done by humans?
Programming isn't the only role that Gates believe will escape the claws of AI, although it's for very different reasons. Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show, Gates revealed that the world of sports will remain untouched by artificial intelligence.
"We'll decide, like baseball - we won't want to watch computers play baseball - so there will be some things that we reserve for ourselves," Gates explained.
While it relies still on the supposed human creativity that also saves the roles of programmers, the future of sports is intriguingly defined by its audience's desires, who wouldn't find the fun in watching robots duke it out.
