Huge blow for Cat Burns and Alan Carr ahead of Celebrity Traitors final as Brits back Faithfuls to win

As the grand finale of The Celebrity Traitors approaches on Wednesday night (November 6), excitement is reaching fever pitch among fans — and it looks like things aren’t going well for comedian Alan Carr.

Currently, just five contestants remain in the running for the £100,000 charity prize: Traitors Alan Carr and singer Cat Burns, and the Faithful trio of Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed, and historian David Olusoga. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the tense reality competition has kept audiences on edge since its debut, and now viewers are placing their bets on who will outwit, outlast, and outplay the rest.

According to a recent poll by Entertainment Daily (source: Entertainment Daily), a strong majority of fans are throwing their support behind the Faithfuls — particularly rugby star Joe Marler and comedian Nick Mohammed. Out of all respondents, a striking 66% believe Joe and Nick will manage to expose the Traitors and share the prize money between their chosen charities.

In comparison, only 13% of participants think David Olusoga will pull off a surprise victory, while just 20% are betting on the Traitors, Alan and Cat, to deceive their way to glory.

The betting markets appear to echo this sentiment. UK bookmakers have listed Joe and Nick as the frontrunners, with odds shortening rapidly in the days leading up to the finale (source: The Guardian). Meanwhile, Alan Carr’s chances have dwindled after a string of close calls during recent banishment ceremonies.

“Alan’s charm and humour have carried him far, but the Faithfuls are clearly onto him now,” wrote one fan on Twitter. “If he survives another round table, it’ll be a miracle.”Cat Burns, Alan Carr, David Olusoga, Nick Mohammed, Joe Marler with Claudia Winkleman

Fan Theories Flood Social Media

On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), speculation has gone into overdrive. Fans have been dissecting every interaction, side-eye, and whispered conversation from the penultimate episode.

One viewer theorised:

“Here’s how I see it: Alan gets banished at the round table, Cat goes out at the fire pit, and Joe, David, and Nick — all Faithfuls — split the cash for charity.”

Others have different predictions. Another fan countered:

“Joe will be banished first, then Nick, then David, leaving Cat and Alan to claim victory. Don’t underestimate them!”

Still, most viewers agree that historian David Olusoga could play a decisive role in the final episode. As Radio Times pointed out, David’s analytical nature and calm demeanour have made him “one of the most unpredictable and strategic players left in the game” (source: Radio Times). His decision on whom to trust — the Traitors or the Faithfuls — could determine everything.

A High-Stakes Finish Awaits

As the curtain falls on this inaugural celebrity edition of The Traitors, Claudia Winkleman is set to reveal who will be crowned the ultimate winner — or winners — in what the BBC has teased as “the most dramatic finale yet” (source: BBC).

With alliances hanging by a thread and suspicion running high, it’s anyone’s guess whether deceit or honesty will triumph in the end. But if public opinion is anything to go by, The Celebrity Traitors finale may just end with the Faithfuls — Joe and Nick — walking away victorious, and Alan Carr left to wonder what went wrong.
