Hurts spoke to Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews right after the electrifying game. The interview took place on the field amid a roaring crowd and confetti.

"You know, God is good. He's greater than all the highs and the lows and I think, personally myself [sic], I've just been able to use every experience and learn from it—the good, the bad, all of it, using it as fuel to pursue my own greatness, and I think I couldn't do any of these things without the guys around me," shared Hurts, who dubbed his team "special."

Prompting the quarterback to speak a little bit more about the Eagles' success and how they managed to win, the reporter asked Hurts to elaborate on their strategy further, adding, "No one saw this coming."

After explaining how the Eagles were able to learn from past events, Hurts responded, "Defense wins championships, and we saw how they played today. We saw the difference they made in the game and they gave us opportunities, gave us short fields, and we're able to do what we do."

Another echoed, "Cheers to you @JalenHurts. I love your mindset and approach to life. From this member of #ChiefsKingdom to you, congrats. You are the embodiment of perseverance through adversity. You do it the right way and let your play do the talking. #SuperBowlLIX."

Reacting to the comment Andrews made during Hurts' interview, a netizen penned, "'No one saw this coming?' Erin why would you say that?!!!! 😮." Echoing the sentiment, someone else expressed, "Erin Andrews is terrible. The snark making it all about her. However it’s hard for her seeing as how she fanboyed the cowboys and chiefs all year and was totally disinterested in the eagles [sic]."
