Rice Water Uses for Skin

 

Rice water has become quite popular for skin care due to its nourishing properties. Here are a few ways rice water can be used for skin concerns, like large pores, clear skin, dark spots, and wrinkles:

1. Rice Water Ice Cubes for Large Pores

Rice water can help tighten pores and give a smoother appearance to the skin. When frozen into ice cubes, it works as a cooling and refreshing treatment.

How to use:

  • Prepare rice water by rinsing 2 tablespoons of raw rice first to remove dirt, then soaking rice in water for about 1-2 hours.
  • Strain the rice water into an ice cube tray and freeze it.
  • Gently rub an ice cube over your face for a few minutes, focusing on areas with enlarged pores.
  • This can be done 2-3 times a week or daily for better results.

2. Rice Water Spray for Clear Skin

Rice water has antioxidants and vitamins like B and E, which can help reduce acne and promote clear skin.

How to use:

  • Rinse 2 tablespoons of raw rice with water first to remove dirt
  • Boil the rice in water, then strain it after about 10 minutes, saving the liquid.
  • Let it cool and transfer it into a spray bottle.
  • Spray this rice water on your face after cleansing, as a toner.
  • It can also be used to hydrate and refresh the skin throughout the day.

3. Rice and Turmeric Mask for Dark Spots

Turmeric is well-known for its skin-brightening properties, and when combined with rice water, it can help lighten dark spots and even out skin tone.

How to use:

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of rice water with 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 tablespoon of yogurt to form a paste.
