‘Take the Underground Railroad Girl’: Karen’s Mid-Flight Meltdown Gets Porsha Williams Escorted Off — But Simon’s Cryptic Private-Jet Post Takes Over

Drama is unfolding in the life of Porsha Williams even when the cameras for The Real Housewives of Atlanta are not rolling. The reality-TV personality found herself thrust back into the headlines after a video emerged showing her being escorted from a Delta Air Lines flight in Atlanta on November 16, following her trip to Las Vegas for the fan convention BravoCon.

According to multiple reports, Williams was on board the flight when she and another female passenger became embroiled in a disruptive dispute mid-air. The incident reportedly escalated into more than just words. After the plane landed, video captured Williams exiting while accompanied by a law-enforcement official in uniform.

Federal authorities are now involved. The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Atlanta field office confirmed they are “aware of an incident on a Delta flight on November 16th, allegedly involving Porsha Williams and/or at least one other person” and that they are “looking to see whether any federal charges may or may not apply.”

Williams’ legal team offered her account of the incident. Her attorney, Joe Habachy, stated: “Ms. Williams was verbally assaulted by an irate and unhinged passenger without provocation. The passenger then proceeded to make false allegations that were in direct conflict with observations from several eyewitnesses.” He emphasized that because the incident occurred aboard an aircraft, federal authorities are required to investigate, and that Williams intends to cooperate fully.

Some witness and second-hand accounts have surfaced. One caller on Sirius XM radio claimed her mother’s best friend was seated three rows ahead of Williams and heard a commotion. According to the caller:

“She just heard a ruckus… then she realized it was Porsha and this old — she described her as this old white Karen… She just kept claiming that Porsha hit her… It was just her antagonizing Porsha.”
These comments reflect the mixed reaction among fans and observers, with some defending Williams and others reserving judgement.

Public reaction has been furious and divided. Some critics questioned why Williams was the only passenger escorted off despite the presence of many others on the same flight. Others speculated whether PR spin or social-media strategy may have played a role. Meanwhile, comments about her attire—a black fur coat and winter footwear in November—added a social-media side-plot to the story.

On Instagram, Williams posted a reflection on her weekend in Las Vegas and the ordeal. She shared a clip of herself with a semi-red face and puffy eyes, writing: “Will I ever like me again.” In the caption she added: “Keep pushing! I thank God everyday that I’m in my right mind and not only haven’t lost myself but I’ve found & appropriate a better me… No more survival mode we will thrive!! We are kicking depression’s ass!!”

In the background of this incident is Williams’ high-profile divorce from Simon Guobadia, finalized in June after a brief 15-month marriage. The divorce agreement, enforcing their prenuptial contract, granted her spousal support of $40,000 per month for 14 months. (Though this aspect of her personal story was in the original article, separate coverage confirms the arrangement.)

As of now, there is no public indication that Williams has been arrested or formally charged. The investigation remains active. With her star status and the on-air/off-air spotlight converging, this incident threatens to become another major chapter in her public narrative.
