The Light of Nova: A Six-Year-Old’s Triumph Over Cancer

Nova’s story is one of fierce resilience, medical miracles, and a spirit that refused to dim. Diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a rare eye cancer, Nova’s journey began when her mother noticed an unusual glare in her daughter’s eye. Tests revealed three tumors in her left eye and two in her right.

She was quickly referred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she underwent intensive treatment to save her vision and her life. Nova’s first round of treatment was successful, but a year later, the cancer returned. She faced it again—with bravery that belied her age—and beat it again.

🌟 Why Nova’s Story Shines

  • Unshakable spirit: Despite multiple rounds of treatment, Nova remained bubbly, curious, and full of life.

  • Family strength: Her mother described her as “nosy” in the most loving way—always engaged, always asking questions, always present.

  • A beacon for others: Nova’s journey has inspired countless families navigating pediatric cancer, showing that even the smallest among us can fight the biggest battles.

Nova’s light isn’t just in her name—it’s in the way she lit up every room, every heart, and every moment she touched.
