Fact: Many people still think white chocolate is chocolate
White chocolate is not recognized as real chocolate because it does not contain cocoa powder like most other types of chocolate. However, this is still a favorite dish of many people, especially children and those who love sweets.
White chocolate, also known as milk chocolate, is most easily recognizable by its ivory white color, not black or brown like regular chocolate bars. According to the concept of world-famous chocolate makers, white chocolate is a wonderful "work" crafted from traditional chocolate.
So what is white chocolate made of? Unlike regular chocolate, chocolate is made mainly from ingredients including cocoa butter, sweeteners and some other additives. This is also the reason why white chocolate has a completely opposite color to traditional chocolate made from cocoa powder.
Cocoa butter used to make white chocolate is extracted from cocoa beans. After cleaning and removing impurities, the cocoa beans are put into a hydraulic press to obtain the finished product, which is pure cocoa butter used in the production of regular white chocolate and dark chocolate.
An interesting thing about white chocolate is that this type of chocolate is difficult to melt at room temperature, so even if you leave the milk chocolate bar at room temperature, it will not lose its original shape. The reason for this phenomenon is that cocoa butter has a fairly high melting point, so even at a temperature of 20 - 30 degrees Celsius, it will not melt easily.
White chocolate has not been officially recognized as a type of chocolate because the ingredients that make white chocolate do not include cocoa powder - an indispensable ingredient when making traditional chocolate. The taste and aroma of white chocolate are also very different from regular brown or dark chocolate, they are often sweeter, more fatty and completely without bitterness.
