GOT7’s BamBam Apologized for being Negative, to Take a Break for Mental Health

Recently, GOT7’s BamBam published a status on the SNS platform X (formerly Twitter), evoking sympathy and worries from fans.

In particular, the male idol said apologized for recently being too negative and announced that he will be taking a break for mental health, saying:

“the past 2weeks i want to say sorry for being so negative and sensitive

i will take sometimes off for myself and will comeback as a positive bambam again

hope everyone reading this post always be happy and surrounded with love

take care”

Previously, BamBam posted an alarming story on Instagram, saying he “just want to sleep and don’t wake up” so he can “finally rest”. Later on, as fans show their worries, the male idol clarified his status and said he will be okay.

However, he continued to mention his declining mental health in future activities, even saying during a concert that he feels unhappy more than happy these days.

“I feel like the more you grow up, the happy days keep getting less… I’m gonna say I feel unhappy more than I feel happy these days. I just wanna be honest because you guys are the only people that I can talk to. That’s why I really wanted to express my feelings to you”, BamBam shared.

At the time, the male idol even asked fans to be happy even when he was unable to, saying, “If this world is not gonna allow me to be so happy, at least I want to give my energy to you guys so y’all can be happy more. So, Ahgase (fans of GOT7), please, at least for me, please be happy for me, all right? And then someday … maybe when I need that energy, please, y’all can cheer me up and be there for me, so thank you. (I’m) Not gonna cry, not gonna cry. …I have a lot of things going on in my mind right now, but then every time, the only place that I feel free and I feel happy these days is meeting you guys on stage… So, the stage is like a playground for me right now. When I’m by myself, I kinda think a lot, so I appreciate that you guys came here and had a good time in my stead.”

Now, as BamBam finally decided to take a break for his mental health, fans are leaving various encouraging messages, reassuring that he can take as much time as he needs and stating that the male idol does not need to apologize.
