Husband of employee caught with CEO on Coldplay jumbotron breaks silence with shocking twist

Kristin Cabot's husband has finally spoken out following her appearance with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron on camera. Husband of employee caught with CEO on Coldplay jumbotron breaks silence with shocking twist

In July, Cabot, who serves as the HR chief at Astronomer, and Byron were attending a Coldplay concert in Boston when they were caught on the venue's big screen. The footage showed Byron seemingly with his arms around Cabot, who appeared to lean into him and hold his hands. The two quickly separated once they realized they were on camera.

Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, reacted with surprise, remarking, “Oh, look at these two. Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy.” The unexpected moment quickly went viral on TikTok, garnering millions of views.

Soon after, it was revealed that Kristin had filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, last month. Reports stated that the couple had been separated for several weeks before the concert occurred.

A representative for Andrew Cabot told PEOPLE that he and Kristin had been privately separated for weeks before the Coldplay event. “Their decision to divorce had already been made prior to that evening,” the spokeswoman explained. The moment went viral around the world (TikTok/@instaagraace)

"Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this brings respectful closure to the speculation and allows his family the privacy they have always valued," she continued. "No further public comment will be made."

In the wake of the incident, Byron resigned from his position as CEO of Astronomer. The company issued a statement, saying, "Astronomer remains committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our inception. Our leadership is expected to exemplify both conduct and accountability, which was not met in this case. Andy Byron has resigned, and the Board of Directors has accepted his resignation. We will now begin the search for a new CEO, with Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy stepping in as interim CEO." The moment happened at a Coldplay gig (Robert Okine/Getty Images)

Cabot also stepped down from her role, and Pete DeJoy, acting as interim CEO, addressed the situation in a statement. "The recent events have drawn an unprecedented level of media attention—something few companies, especially startups in the data and AI sector, ever experience," he said. "This spotlight has been both unusual and surreal for our team, but while I wouldn't have chosen for it to unfold this way, Astronomer has now become a household name."

Neither Cabot nor Byron has publicly commented further on the incident.
