Lola, my brave little girl, faced an unimaginable challenge yesterday when she took on a giant brown snake. Although we didn’t witness her getting bitten, her sudden collapse and unresponsiveness made it clear that she had been struck by the venomous creature. We rushed her to the vet, and her condition worsened rapidly during the drive, underscoring the urgency of the situation.

Thanks to swift action, Lola received two vials of anti-venom and was placed in doggy ICU for 24 hours. The incredible care and attention she received saved her life. Today, she’s back home with us, resting and recovering—thankfully, stronger and more resilient than ever.

What I've learned from this experience is simple: if you ever suspect your dog has been bitten by a snake, take them to the vet immediately, even if they don’t show obvious signs. In cases like this, minutes truly count. Lola’s quick treatment was what ultimately saved her, and it’s a lesson I’ll never forget.
