Dating in Atlanta is an experience. Some folks find the love of their life. Some folks find a goddamn headache. And one thing about Atlanta, when a relationship ends, folks around here do not know how to just let go. Oh no, now we bringing up everything you ever did wrong.
Stuff they never complained about during the entire relationship. All of a sudden, today you're a broke mama's boy, a narcissist. You're too controlling. And apparently, you were the worst decision she ever made. please.
Y'all were together for 3 years. This would have been useful information around year 1. Breaking up has become a whole dramatic theatrical production. It ain't enough to just break up anymore. You go on about your business and she goes on back to her baby daddy.
It's always somebody got to post a cryptic post on Facebook. Somebody got to unfollow. Somebody got to block a number. Then unblock it 20 minutes later just to see if you called. Then block it again.

Then an hour later call you from Star 67 talking about this is the last thing I'm ever going to say to your trifling ass. You just wanted to call to see if he was for real about blocking you. Congratulations. Y'all are both toxic. Then comes the ceremonial return of the property.
You're returning hoodies, t-shirts, slides, phone chargers, and half a bottle of cologne. But you don't just hand it to him. Of course not. That would be entirely too much like behaving like a grown adult. You drive over there, drop everything off, and call his mama.
Hey, Miss Shirley. How you doing? I just wanted to let you know I left a box of your son's stuff he left at my apartment on your porch. Have a blessed day. Then, just to make sure he knows you were over there being petty, you send him a text.
I left your with your mom. Let's be honest, you don't care about those clothes. You just looking for a reason to see him and start a confrontation for the entire neighborhood to see. Then the social media investigation begins. Delete the pictures, archive the pictures, then put them right back up 2 weeks later.
He blocked you? No problem. Now you got a brand new Gmail account ready to go, a fake Instagram page, and your nosy homegirl giving you hourly updates like she works for CNN, and you always screaming, 'I'm done. I'm moving on. I'm protecting my peace.' No, you're not.
You're protecting your ego. Because the first thing people do after a breakup ain't healed. It's open Instagram and investigating. Who are they following? Who liked the picture?
Who left the heart emojis? Whose car is that? Whose house is that? Who took that picture? Atlanta got more relationship detectives than actual detectives.
Now, everybody conducting a full-blown investigation into a relationship that was supposed to have been over 2 weeks ago. And that's the crazy part about breakups around here. Most folks don't actually want closure. Half the time, they don't even want the relationship back. They just want you to hurt the same way they're hurting.
They don't want you to know they're hurting. She finding out she can't replace you like she thought she could. Because in her mind, there ain't no way she's about to let you move on before she does. Dating in Atlanta is wild. But when a breakup turns toxic, get the out the way.
And tonight's story is a perfect example of just that. Breaking up in Atlanta, that's where the real entertainment begins. And what we've got here isn't your average breakup. What we've got here is something a little more prehistoric. We have a woman who has completely lost her marbles.
New Year's Eve is supposed to be about fresh starts, leaving old drama in the past, making better decisions, starting the year with less stress, less confusion, and a whole lot less foolishness. If your New Year's resolution was to stop being the side piece, congratulations. If you finally got tired of sprinting out the back door every time the Ring camera notification says, 'Motion detected.' Congratulations again, because she never admits she's got a boyfriend until the comes knocking at the front door. And by then it's too late. Now you in your box of shorts and tube socks, tussling with a grown man in the living room, knocking over lamps and fighting for your life, fighting for your dignity, because you was invited to his house by his old lady.
Now you sitting there wondering, 'How the hell did I even get here?' Hopefully that ain't how your new year started. So here's how our story tonight starts. According to police, while most folks were making resolutions, getting drunker than Cuda Brown, watching the ball drop, and bringing in the new year, police say one woman allegedly had a completely different plan for the new year. Instead of leaving the old drama behind, police say she picked it up, and she also picked up some rocks along the way. Wilma Dum Dum Flintstone marched her bonnet wearing behind over to her ex-boyfriend's mama's apartment holding a fist full of rocks, pebbles, gravel, whatever you want to call them, and allegedly started throwing stones at the front door.
I'm not making this up. Yeah, you heard me right. Rocks. According to police, this Hea started throwing goddamn rocks. She allegedly marched her happy ass over there with a fistful of rocks like she was auditioning for a live-action remake of the Flintstones.
While everybody else was counting down to midnight trying to watch the peach drop, she was allegedly counting how many times she could hit the front door with her projectiles known as rocks. She shattered a window and cracked the $99 Ring camera that was mounted to the door, which was very smart, throwing rocks at a camera while the camera recording you doing I don't know what she was thinking, but apparently Great Gazoo wasn't thinking. Go figure. She forgot this was Clarkston, not Bedrock. According to police, rocks started flying, property was damaged, a window was shattered, and officers were called.
And before the night was over, somebody was wearing bracelets that definitely didn't come from Jared. Because when love turns sour in Atlanta, it doesn't always end with closure. Sometimes it ends with criminal trespass and damage to property. Let me warn you beforehand, this woman is obnoxious. Please don't blame me for any headaches that occur while watching this show.
