💪 Riona Kelly: Why a Stroke and Paralysis Became Her Turning Point

Riona Kelly was 34 when a sudden stroke left her paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors told her she might never walk again. But the physical trauma wasn’t the only heartbreak—her husband left her just five days after her stroke.

Alone and devastated, Riona began a grueling recovery journey. She spent months in rehabilitation, learning to navigate life in a wheelchair and later, with the help of crutches. During this time, she met Keith Mason, a former rugby player who became her personal trainer—and eventually, her partner.

Riona now says the stroke was “the best thing that ever happened” to her. It forced her to reevaluate her life, leave behind a toxic relationship, and discover her inner strength. Today, she’s a motivational speaker and advocate for spinal injury survivors, sharing her story to inspire others to find light in the darkest moments
