BTS’s Jin Shuts Down Acting As His Next Venture

Actor Jin might be no more.

BTS‘s Jin is back and busy!

Last month, he teased that he would soon release his first official solo album after being discharged from mandatory military service. Most recently, Jin has been confirmed for his first variety show appearance since his discharge. He is reportedly appearing on It’s A Good Thing To Rest Well (also known as Half-star Hotel in Lost Island) and I Live Alone (also known as Home Alone).Jin will also run as the torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, which begins on July 27.

Jin has now responded to some ARMYs’ posts, revealing that many exciting things were coming up. He explained that he has filmed and prepared many things, and they will be released slowly but surely.

Jin: I’ve been recording and filming variety shows, and I’m slowly making progress on plans I made in the military, one by one. Showing my face as much as I can but also doing my main job. The final products will all be released in a few months, so please wait just a little bit more!

One ARMY was especially eager for Jin’s upcoming extended version of “Super Tuna,” which he previously teased. He explained that his album would be postponed until Jimin‘s album was released out of respect.

All Jin’s scheduled variety shows put ARMYs in mind of K-Dramas, as ARMYs have long been waiting for Jin to make his K-Drama debut, knowing he had originally studied acting, majoring in theater and film. They had been anticipating Jin would finally pursue his acting career when he was discharged.

Yet, that dream might remain just that… a dream.

Jin posted another Weverse update, responding to an ARMY who wrote, “Waiting for Actor Jin.” He shot down ARMYs’ dreams of “Actor Jin” by saying, “I don’t have any plans to actㅠㅠ sorry.”

Naturally, many ARMYs are disappointed. Their dreams of “Actor Jin” are crushed.

Still, many are as supportive as ever, respecting Jin’s wishes. Previously, in 2022, Jin responded to questions regarding a potential career path in acting. At that time, he also was not interested in acting. So, some ARMYs weren’t surprised by his recent reply.
