A look around Angry Ginge's former home shows I'm A Celeb star's 'true colours'
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Angry Ginge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, has quickly become a fan favorite, winning over viewers with his unique blend of humor and relatable personality. The 23-year-old from Salford first made a name for himself in the digital world, streaming on Twitch and producing content for YouTube, where he primarily appealed to a Gen-Z audience. However, his appearance on the ITV reality show has helped expand his following, drawing in a wider range of viewers from across the nation.
From the moment he entered the jungle alongside his friend Aitch, Angry Ginge has kept fans entertained, and it seems like he's here to stay for the long haul. While the digital creator is enjoying the limelight now, his journey to fame was far from glamorous. Recently, Angry Ginge revisited the humble beginnings of his career, sharing a glimpse into the modest conditions he once lived in—and viewers were left astonished by how down-to-earth he truly was.

In a candid video, Angry Ginge returned to "the room where it all started," showing the small, rundown space that had once been his home. The conditions were shocking, with Ginge laughing as he pointed out that the door lacked a handle, forcing him to physically yank it open or closed. He also highlighted the deteriorating, mildewed wallpaper running along the ceiling, remarking, "I mean, just f****** look at it."
Ginge continued to reveal the makeshift "soundproofing" that he had put up to avoid disturbing his neighbors while broadcasting. To his amusement, he admitted that it had done "absolutely f*** all," as it consisted of nothing more than some cardboard and foam attached to the wall. He then pointed out the window that had once caused a neighbor to knock on his door at 5 a.m., complaining about the noise. As he showed the grimy floor covered with blue patterned linoleum, he revealed that a bed once occupied the tiny space, which left many viewers shocked at just how small the room was. The walls were stained, further adding to the squalid conditions.
Reflecting on his journey, Angry Ginge captioned the clip, "The memories," acknowledging the humble beginnings that marked the start of his rise to fame. Fans flooded the comments section, expressing admiration for his work ethic and resilience. One person wrote, "From there to millions in the bank. Amazing," while others praised his ability to turn his modest start into a massive success, calling him an "inspiration" and noting how "sweet" he seemed.
Many fans, who had been following him since his early days, fondly reminisced about his journey. One commenter said, "OG's know where it all started," showing their long-term support for Ginge. Some viewers humorously noted that his old living conditions appeared "worse than the jungle," and one joked that the door looked as if it had "f****** wallpaper on it."
The video sparked further curiosity, with some fans asking how much he paid to live in the space. Ginge had previously mentioned in a podcast that the rent was £350 per month, prompting some fans to express surprise, suggesting he may have been overcharged for such poor living conditions.
Despite the less-than-ideal start, Angry Ginge's success story is a testament to his hard work and determination. His journey from a cramped, rundown room to becoming a beloved star on I'm A Celebrity is both inspiring and humbling, showing that with perseverance, anyone can rise above their circumstances.
