Kayode said, "Me, rowing your boat, Kola? A week ago, I could not even pour my own drink. I leave with nothing, yet I am not empty. The lesson is heavy, Kola, and I will carry it proudly."

On the Golden Crest, the evening continued without Kayode's anger echoing through the corridors. Captain Segun checked the preparations for departure while Mama Bisi finished her duties in the galley and Tayo walked beside Folake onto the open deck. The vessel had belonged to her family long before the billionaire's charter, and she knew she would continue learning from the people who kept it moving. She was no longer the wet, trembling young woman in the center of a cruel audience, but the memory of that night would remain part of her story. So would the choices made afterward, and the responsibility of carrying her father's name without forgetting his principles.

Tayo replied, "Your deck, your sunset, your name on this ship, Folake. After everything, the *Golden Crest* sails under her true owner."

Folake said softly, "She always did, Tayo."

Tayo observed, "Your father would stand proud on this deck tonight, Folake, in your courage."

Folake looked at the photograph of her father through the lounge window. He had built a ship with comfortable rooms and beautiful views, but the wealth of the vessel had never been the lesson he wanted to leave her. He had valued the cook, the engineer, the deckhand, and the bartender as people whose dignity did not depend on whom they served. When Segun spoke, Folake felt grief and gratitude arrive together. She knew now that protecting dignity required not merely pride but care with power.

Folake said, "Thank you, Captain. You kept his ship safe and kindly through every storm we faced together."

Mama Bisi said, "From my kitchen to my madam, with love. I always knew whose daughter stood behind that serving tray, Folake."

Folake said, "Pride shouts, Tayo. How we treat people who serve us reveals everything."

Tayo observed, "You lived that lesson in echo, and you teach it now in gold. Nobody can unsee it."

Folake said softly, "Listen, Tayo: no orders, no shouting tonight. Only the sea keeping gentle time for all of us."

Tayo replied, "The finest music this old ship ever gave us, Folake. Better than any band."

The music faded until the sea became the clearest sound on deck. Folake could imagine the voices of guests arriving in the years ahead, each carrying assumptions about the staff who would greet them. She hoped they might meet the crew with consideration rather than contempt. The Golden Crest had weathered its own storm of pride, resentment, and consequence, but the people aboard still had to decide what sort of ship they would make of it. Folake stood tall beneath the evening sky, prepared to answer that question through her actions.

Folake said, "Remember us, friends. Please handle with honor. The *Golden Crest* sails free tonight, good people. May dignity sail with every one of you, wherever you go."
