The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum offered a fresh update during her appearance at BravoCon over the weekend, sharing that she is doing “good” despite the emotional weight of the ongoing legal proceedings. During Sunday’s Bravo2Bravo panel, the 54-year-old reality star acknowledged that the situation has been challenging, but she emphasized the importance of having a strong circle of friends and loved ones. “It’s a process,” she explained, expressing gratitude for her “great support system” during what she described as one of the most difficult chapters of her life.

Richards went on to describe how navigating a painful separation in the public eye has been “very daunting.” Unlike scripted projects where personal matters can remain private, she noted that reality television leaves little room to hide. “On reality shows, our personal life is out there,” she said. “On reality TV, you can’t pretend it’s not happening,” adding that this level of exposure forces her to confront uncomfortable realities — even when cameras are rolling.

The actress filed for divorce in July and later accused Phypers, 53, of “frequent,” “violent,” and escalating abuse. Phypers has consistently denied all allegations. Under the new permanent restraining order, he is prohibited from coming within 100 yards of Richards or her workplace until November 7, 2030, and as of Nov. 7, he is barred from contacting her in any form. Richards has reportedly expressed relief at the court’s decision, though she remains aware that the legal battle is far from over.

Phypers reacted to the ruling by stating that he had hoped the judge would rule “the other way.” He added, “I know the truth. This may be hidden for a minute. We’re going to reset a little bit, but that’s OK,” suggesting he intends to dispute the allegations further as proceedings continue.

Richards was initially granted a temporary restraining order on July 16. She later sought to extend it during an October hearing that unfolded over multiple days. During the hearing, Richards delivered emotional testimony detailing her experiences. In a surprising moment, Phypers’ cousin Kathleen McAllister testified and corroborated parts of Richards’ claims, offering additional support to the actress’s narrative.

In a dramatic twist, Phypers was arrested inside the courtroom during that same hearing on suspicion of spousal abuse. He was charged with two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat. He later posted his $200,000 bond and was released the same day.

Throughout the dispute, Phypers has also accused Richards of infidelity, addiction to Vicodin, harassment, and even tracking his vehicle — allegations that Richards has categorically denied. Their divorce remains ongoing, with both sides preparing for what appears to be a long and highly contentious legal process.

As the proceedings continue, Richards has expressed that her main priority is ensuring her safety and well-being. Supporters have commended her for speaking out and for continuing to participate in public events like BravoCon while dealing with such personal turmoil.
