"I don't need a theory, Your Honor," Isaiah said, his voice dropping to a deadly calm. "I have the receipts."
Isaiah walked back to his table and pulled a thick, red-banded folder from his briefcase. He turned to the judge, his eyes utterly devoid of fear. The moment had come to spring the trap.
"Your Honor, at this time I would like to submit Plaintiff's Exhibit F into evidence. It is a certified financial disclosure packet regarding the corporate ownership structure of Apex Soil & Water."
Whitmore was on his feet again, panicking. "Objection! We have not seen this document in discovery! This is an ambush!"
"It wasn't in discovery because your co-conspirator, senior attorney Brentwood, intentionally hid it in a shadow server to throw this case," Isaiah stated loudly, turning to the gallery so every reporter heard him.
The courtroom erupted into shouts. Judge Caldwell hammered his gavel furiously. "Order! Order in my court! Mr. Crawford, you have crossed the line! You are making baseless, defamatory accusations against a senior partner at your own law firm!"
"He is not a partner at my firm anymore," Isaiah said, his voice cutting through the noise like a blade. "I fired him at 6:00 a.m. this morning."
The gavel stopped mid-air. Judge Caldwell stared at him. Whitmore's jaw dropped.
"You... you fired him?" Caldwell stammered. "You are an intern! You have no authority!"
"My name is not just Isaiah Crawford," he declared, standing tall, his presence dominating the mahogany-paneled room. "My full legal name is Isaiah Crawford Reed. I am the managing executive of the Reed Family Trust and the primary shareholder of Harrison, Gable & Reed. I own the firm, Your Honor. I have been working undercover in my own Atlanta office for three months to root out corporate malpractice, and I have found it."
A reporter in the second row audibly gasped. Evelyn Porter pressed her hands to her mouth, tears springing to her eyes. Whitmore collapsed back into his chair, the color draining entirely from his face: the hotshot lawyer realized in a fraction of a second that his career was completely, irreversibly over.
Judge Caldwell's face turned an ashen gray. His hands shook as he gripped the edges of his bench. "This... this is a circus! I will not tolerate these theatrics in my courtroom! I am dismissing this case with prejudice!"
