Katie Price reignites war of words over daughter Princess as she urges teen to tell ‘the truth’

Katie Price Appears to Reignite Tensions With Daughter Princess Andre in New Podcast Episode

Katie Price has seemingly reopened the conversation surrounding her strained relationship with daughter Princess Andre in the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast. The 47-year-old reality star addressed ongoing speculation about her connection with her 18-year-old daughter—a topic that has gained increasing media attention in recent months (Source: The Independent).

Rumours of tension have circulated since early this year, primarily fuelled by Katie’s noticeable absence from Princess’ ITV2 reality series, The Princess Diaries, which follows the teenager’s day-to-day life as she navigates modelling, social media, and family dynamics.

Why Katie Was Missing From Princess’ ITV2 Show

The Princess Diaries aired earlier this year featuring Princess’ father Peter Andre and stepmother Emily, but Katie was not included in any episode. According to MailOnline, production insiders insisted the decision was final, emphasizing that the show aims to present an “authentic and unstaged” portrait of Princess’ current home life (Source: MailOnline). Producers reportedly felt that including Katie—who does not live with Princess—might shift the focus away from the teenager’s present environment.

In August, Katie admitted the exclusion left her in tears. “I’m so upset. It’s my daughter. I want to be involved,” she shared, insisting that despite public perception, “Me and Princess have never had an argument. We’re best friends.”

Princess later defended her mum while speaking to The Guardian, pushing back against the narrative that she had “banned” Katie from appearing. “There was actually no decision, really. Because I’m living with Dad at the moment, he was in it more. It was never true that I said I didn’t want her in it,” she clarified (Source: The Guardian).

Katie Says She’ll Attend Events With Kerry Katona’s Daughter—But Not Princess

In her latest podcast episode, Katie revealed that she will be attending events not with Princess but with Heidi Katona, the teenage daughter of her friend Kerry Katona.

“She’s staying with me for a month; she’s going to come to events with me,” Katie explained. “So when I’m pictured with Heidi at events, it isn’t weird. Because Kerry loves me, and Heidi loves me. Heidi will be at events with me—but not Princess.”

Katie then questioned why Princess is allowed to spend time publicly with Heidi, but she, as Princess’ mother, cannot do the same: “Why is Princess hanging around with Heidi and doing stuff, but I’m not allowed to with Princess? It’s [bleep],” she said, expressing clear frustration.

Katie Says She Won’t Fight With Princess Over Social Media Decisions

Katie went on to address Princess’ personal boundary of not posting online about either parent.
“She says she won’t put anything up about me or her dad. That’s it. I don’t agree, but I’m not going to argue with Princess about it.”

Katie hinted that Princess could “say a few things” online that would reflect “the truth,” though she declined to elaborate further. This isn’t the first time Katie has alluded to wanting more transparency from her daughter; OK! Magazine previously reported her desire to share more openly about their family dynamics (Source: OK! Katie Takes Aim at Peter Andre Over His Decision to Exit Second Series

Also during the podcast, Katie reacted to the news that Peter Andre and Emily will not appear in the second series of The Princess Diaries. Her sister Sophie suggested that instead of stepping back, producers could have included Katie, especially since they had approached her for old YouTube footage.

“Do you think rather than them dropping out, it might have just been better if they had included you?” Sophie asked, noting that using archive clips felt “insulting.”

Katie agreed: “You offered them—‘Why don’t you just film Kate fresh, doing stuff she and Princess like doing?’ And they said no. And I said I’d do it for nothing.”

Neither Peter Andre nor Emily has commented publicly on their decision, though BBC Entertainment reports that both are focusing on other projects and keeping family matters private (Source: BBC).

Princess’ representatives declined to comment when approached for this story.
