Knowledge of how a water filter can become a disease site

The main reason is that water filters used for too long will lose their antibacterial ability, turning the purifier into an ineffective device.

Do not connect the faucet to the hot water pipe

Inside a water purifier, the faucet must never be connected to a hot water pipe. Doing so can cause serious consequences such as melting the pipe due to excessive heat, and the pipe itself will also deteriorate very quickly.

Not replacing the filter cartridges

Filter replacement must be carried out periodically to ensure a clean, mineral-rich, and safe water source.
If the filters are not replaced as recommended, the purified water may become unsafe for use.

The main reason is that filters used for too long lose their antibacterial function, making the water purifier completely ineffective.

Furthermore, during use, you should not attempt to repair the purifier yourself when issues occur. Instead, seek help from a technician to ensure stable operation, better performance, and correct installation.

Boiling filtered water before drinking

Many people believe that boiled water is always the safest, so even filtered water must be boiled before drinking. However, this is completely incorrect.

The water coming out of a household purifier has already been treated to remove all impurities, heavy metals, and bacteria, meeting the direct-drinking standards set by the Ministry of Health. Therefore, the filtered water can be consumed directly from the tap without boiling.

If the filtered water still contains beneficial minerals, boiling it can cause those minerals to be lost, making the water less nutritious than when consumed directly.
Additionally, once boiled, the water must be stored carefully and consumed quickly; otherwise, bacteria can re-enter and cause illness.

Choosing purifiers with more filters is not always better

A purifier with more filter cartridges does not necessarily mean it cleans water better.

Typically, an efficient water purifier has up to 5 filter stages, including:

  • 3 pre-filters,

  • 1 RO or Nano membrane, and

  • 1 Cation filter (for areas with hard water or high calcium content).

After passing through the membrane, the water becomes pure, but beneficial minerals are also removed.
Therefore, purifiers are often equipped with additional mineral-replenishing filters (stages 6, 7, 8, 9…) to restore essential minerals for the body.

Users should distinguish between filter cartridges and mineral-replenishing cartridges to choose the right and high-quality water purifier.
