Irresistibly Fragrant Grilled Ribs — A Dish You’ll Never Get Tired of!

Here’s how Mrs. Dan Vy from Ho Chi Minh City prepares her perfect grilled ribs — a recipe that guarantees a mouthwatering meal every time.

šŸ‘©‍šŸ³ Instructions

  1. Prepare the ribs
Wash the pork ribs thoroughly. Bring a pot of water to a boil, add a bit of salt and sliced ginger, then blanch the ribs briefly to remove any impurities. Drain well and pat dry.

Next, marinate the ribs with barbecue sauce, honey, chili sauce, fish sauce, seasoning powder, chili powder, pepper, and minced garlic. Mix evenly so the ribs are fully coated, then cover and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours (ideally overnight) to allow the flavors to soak in deeply.

  2. Grilling the ribs
Place the marinated ribs in an air fryer or oven preheated to 160°C (320°F). Cook for about 20–30 minutes.

Once the surface begins to brown, arrange a few slices of lemon and some sprigs of rosemary on top of the ribs. Add a few halved garlic bulbs to the tray for extra aroma. Continue grilling at 190–200°C (375–390°F) until the ribs turn golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside.

  3. Prepare the vegetables
Melt a little margarine in a pan, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then toss in the asparagus and carrot pieces. Season lightly with salt and pepper to enhance their natural sweetness.
Transfer the vegetables to the air fryer and cook: asparagus for 7–8 minutes, and carrots for around 15 minutes until tender and glossy.

  4. Make the dipping sauce
In a small pan, sauté minced garlic and shallots until golden, then pour in the leftover marinade from the ribs. Simmer gently until slightly thickened. Sprinkle in some toasted sesame seeds for extra aroma and flavor. This sauce pairs perfectly with the grilled ribs.

  5. Serve and enjoy
Arrange the grilled ribs beautifully on a plate, accompanied by the roasted garlic, asparagus, and carrots. Serve with a small bowl of the dipping sauce for a rich, savory finish.

šŸ– Tips for Perfect Grilled Ribs

  • Use pork ribs with some fat for a juicier texture. Lean ribs tend to dry out quickly when grilled.

  • Adding a little lemon juice or vinegar to the marinade helps tenderize the meat naturally.

  • You can also brush the ribs with honey or butter during the last few minutes of cooking to give them a glossy, caramelized surface.

These grilled ribs come out beautifully golden, bursting with aroma, slightly sweet with a gentle kick of spice — a flavor combination that will win over everyone at the table. Serve them with rice, noodles, or even a fresh salad — either way, they’ll disappear in no time!

Enjoy your delicious homemade grilled ribs — and good luck!
