Logan reached for her with vicious intent, when suddenly he was airborne, his wrist locked in a grip that sent him crashing face-first into the pavement. The movement was so fast none of them saw Caleb's approach.

The alley erupted into chaos as Caleb moved with terrifying efficiency. Brock swung the crowbar, but hit only air as Caleb sidestepped, delivering a precise strike to Brock's elbow that made him drop the weapon with a scream. Trey charged forward, only to find himself flipped over Caleb's shoulder, landing hard with the wind knocked from his lungs. Ethan, panicking, pulled a knife that Caleb disarmed with such calculated violence that Ethan's wrist dislocated with an audible pop.

In under thirty seconds, all four boys were incapacitated on the ground, moaning in pain from joint locks and nerve strikes designed to disable without permanent damage. Caleb stood completely unruffled, not even breathing hard, as Aaliyah stared in stunned recognition of what her father truly was: a weapon in human form.

Bloodied and humiliated, Logan pulled out his phone with his uninjured hand. "My father will end you for this!"

Caleb's response was measured: "Your father's influence exists because people fear social consequences. I spent two decades facing people who wanted to kill me. Social pressure means nothing."

Aaliyah, processing the violence she'd just witnessed, suddenly understood her father's controlled brutality was both protection and burden.

As sirens approached—Logan had connections in the police department—Caleb calmly collected the weapons as evidence. "Police responses in this sector average four minutes. We have two minutes remaining before intersection becomes disadvantageous."

The precision of his tactical thinking revealed how completely he'd slipped back into combat mindset. Before they departed, Caleb delivered a final warning to the boys: "This was restraint. Next time won't be."

Within an hour, Mayor Hastings stormed into the police station where the boys were giving statements, their injuries already being photographed as evidence. His influence was immediately apparent as officers snapped to attention. Chief Warren assured him arrests were forthcoming.

Logan, playing the victim masterfully, described an unprovoked attack by a deranged veteran. The mayor called the district attorney directly, demanding immediate action against this unhinged vigilante threatening children.

Across town, Detective Ross warned Caleb, "They're spinning this as an adult assaulting minors. There's already a warrant being drafted."
