Wrong understandings turn water purifiers into diseases, remove them immediately to avoid harming the whole family

The main reason is that filters used for a long time will lose their antibacterial function, making the water purifier useless.

Do not connect the water dispenser to the hot water pipe

In a water purifier, the faucet must never be connected to the hot water pipe. Doing so may cause serious consequences, such as the pipe melting due to excessive heat, and it will also make the pipe deteriorate much faster.

Failure to replace water filters

This needs to be done regularly to ensure you always have a hygienic source of mineral-rich water. If the filters are not replaced as recommended, using water from the purifier can become dangerous.

The main reason is that filters used for too long lose their ability to kill bacteria, turning the purifier into an ineffective device.

Furthermore, during use, you should not attempt to fix malfunctions yourself. Instead, seek help from technicians to ensure the purifier operates stably, works efficiently, and is installed correctly.

Boiling filtered water before drinking

Many people believe that boiled water is the safest, so even after filtration, they still boil it before drinking. In reality, this is completely unnecessary.

The output water from household purifiers has already been filtered to remove all impurities, dirt, heavy metals, and bacteria, meeting the Ministry of Health’s standard for direct drinking water. Therefore, this water can be consumed directly without boiling.

If filtered water still contains minerals, boiling may destroy these minerals, making the water less beneficial than drinking it directly from the purifier. In addition, once boiled, the water must be carefully stored and consumed quickly. Otherwise, bacteria can infiltrate and cause illness when consumed.

Choosing purifiers with as many filters as possible

Having more filters does not necessarily mean better purification. Typically, an effective water purifier has up to 5 filters: 3 pre-filters, 1 RO or Nano membrane, and 1 Cation filter for areas with high calcium or limestone content.

After passing through the membrane, water becomes pure, but beneficial minerals are also lost. Therefore, purifiers are often equipped with additional filters (6, 7, 8, 9, etc.) to add back essential minerals for the body.

Users should be able to distinguish between filtering and remineralizing filters in order to choose the right purifier.
