IU learns about agency move through fan cafe inquiry, fans express frustration

There are rising suspicions that EDAM Entertainment, the agency of singer IU, moved its office without informing her.

On the 21st, EDAM Entertainment announced on IU’s official fan cafe that the company had relocated, providing updated instructions on how to send support packages. The notice stated, "Due to the company’s relocation, the address has been changed. Please note that mail can no longer be received at the previous address."

However, fans began raising concerns after fan letters sent to the old address were returned. When fans asked IU directly through the fan cafe if her company had moved, IU reportedly replied, "Did they move without telling me? As far as I know, they haven’t." This suggests that the company had already moved, but IU only found out later through her fans.

Following this, the official notice about the address change was posted, leading fans to question, "Is this a company move that even the artist doesn’t know about?" expressing their shock and frustration.

Fans' anger has been building, especially since IU and WOODZ are the only artists under EDAM Entertainment. There was already controversy earlier when a fan who used a friend's help to purchase IU concert tickets was flagged as engaging in ticket reselling, leading the agency to demand excessive proof of innocence. Though the company later promised to revise its policies, fans have criticized the agency, saying that IU was unfairly blamed for the issue.
