People left terrified after spotting creepy hidden face in group photo
A group photo shared on Reddit has gained a lot of attention, but not for the right reasons.
Namely, when the group of friends posed for the photo, they probably never imagined it would go viral, or that it would end up frightening so many people.
This seemingly innocent photo came with an unexpected twist.
At first glance, it looks just like a regular selfie meant to capture a moment of fun time during a hiking trip of six friends. However, there is something wrong with the picture.
The person who posted it on Reddit captioned it: “A friend of mine sent me this picture from his group of friends in Chile. At first, I didn’t notice anything unusual. But once you see it, you can’t unsee it.”
Upon closer examination of the photo, fellow Redditors started noticing a creepy face lurking among the friends. Someone who wasn’t part of the group and not even there when the photo was taken.
Eagle-eyed netizens spotted the creepy face hiding in the bottom left corner of the photo.
The face “squeezed” between the two women isn’t smiling like the rest of the group. What’s more, it stares out blankly from the shadows, giving chills to those who notice it.
“I am not exaggerating when I say that when I finally saw it, I got goosebumps and felt genuine fear,” one commenter confessed. “Wtf. I believe in ghosts again now.”
Another person wrote, “My dumb*** was looking at the red thing in the bottom left corner. “I was like, uhhh, looks like someone was just cut out of the pic… then BOOM, I saw it. Runs to hide under the covers.”
Of course, there were also those who tried to offer more logical explanations.
“It’s just a person that’s also in the group with their face being hidden in shadow by the two around it, and made to look creepy with that intense blue filter,” someone wrote.
No matter how that face ended up on the photo, one thing is certain, when you see it, you can’t unsee it.
Photos like this, no matter how unsettling they might be, create a strange sense of fascination.
