MANILA, Philippines — Star Magic denied rumors that Ivana Alawi was removed from the hit series "Batang Quiapo" because of "attitude problem."

In their social media pages, Star Magic released a statement clarifying the rumors. 

"Star Magic would like to inform you that there is no truth to the rumors about the reason for Ivana Alawi's departure from FPJ's 'Batang Quiapo'," Star Magic said.

"Since Ivana became a part of the series, the public's reception of Ivana's character Bubbles and her pairing with Coco Martin has been warm, which is why it was the way for her stay in the series to be extended beyond the agreed upon three months, ” it added.

The talent agency thanked Ivana for being a part of "Batang Quiapo."

"We are grateful for the dedication, love and happy company that Ivana showed to her co-workers, and for providing service to the audience," it said.

"We are also very grateful to Coco and everyone who makes up 'Batang Quiapo' for the opportunity given to Ivana to be part of the leading teleserye," it added.

Last week, Ivana's manager Perry Lansigan denied rumors that Ivana exhibited an "attitude problem" on the set of the series.

"From the very start when Ivana Alawi was inquired about by 'Batang Quipo,' her stay in the said teleserye should only be three months. They agreed on three months and Ivana is okay," Lansigan explained to DJ Jhaiho , who read their exchange on his online radio showbiz show, "Showbiz Sidelines."

"But because the combination of Bubbles and Tanggol clicked, it was extended and extended and increased with many tapings.

"Until the schedule couldn't handle it anymore as Ivana also has prior commitments that were approved by her management. There are shoots, vlogs and etc. Ivana really can't handle it anymore."
