A young man in Thailand caused a stir when he revealed that he married a 3m long cobra.

Worranan Sarasalin from Kanchanaburi, Thailand shared on social media a series of photos, which recorded moments of his life when he married a snake.

According to this man, he believes that the 3m long cobra is his girlfriend who passed away a few years ago. Worranan Sarasalin pampered the snake so much that he eventually married it. Passersby often saw him taking the snake everywhere and treating it like a companion. The two went to the gym together, played games, and even went hiking and sightseeing on the mountain top.

Warranan Sarasalin, a religious man, said he believed in reincarnation and that humans could be reborn as animals. He said the 3m-long snake bore an “uncanny resemblance” to his deceased girlfriend.

Everyone calls him "the man who lives with snakes," and has warned many times that: "Animals will always be animals, one day they will hurt you." But this young man is still steadfast in the idea that "true love" will overcome danger together.

Abu explained that he raises venomous snakes to better understand the creatures’ habits and behavior. “I live with venomous snakes to understand their behavior. Catching snakes is part of my job as a firefighter. I train young trainees how to handle a snake. After catching a snake, they can release it back into the wild,” Abu said. He emphasized that the most important goal is not to kill the snakes and release them safely.

Abu said he does not keep a snake in captivity all the time. When a new snake is caught, he releases the old one into the forest. Abu never keeps one snake for more than a year and has cared for four snakes in total.

“I have been training snakes since 2007. This hobby was passed down to me by my father. He is a snake lover,” Abu shared. “Snakes are not difficult to handle. There are many misunderstandings about this animal.”
