Thai man marries 3m long cobra after girlfriend d i e s
A young man in Thailand caused a stir when he revealed that he married a 3m long cobra.
On November 22, the newspaper Thuong Hieu & Phap Luat reported with the title: "Thai man marries a 3m long cobra after his girlfriend passed away" with the following content:
Worranan Sarasalin from Kanchanaburi, Thailand shared on social media a series of photos, which recorded moments of his life when he married a snake.

According to this man, he believes that the 3m long cobra is his girlfriend who passed away a few years ago. Worranan Sarasalin pampered the snake so much that he eventually married it. Passersby often saw him taking the snake everywhere and treating it like a companion. The two went to the gym together, played games, and even went hiking and sightseeing on the mountain top.

Warranan Sarasalin, a religious man, said he believed in reincarnation and that humans could be reborn as animals. He said the 3m-long snake bore an “uncanny resemblance” to his deceased girlfriend.

Everyone calls him "the man who lives with snakes," and has warned many times that: "Animals will always be animals, one day they will hurt you." But this young man is still steadfast in the idea that "true love" will overcome danger together.
Previously, the VHNT Times newspaper on November 19 also published an article with the information: "The surprising truth behind the story of the young man who married a 3m cobra as his wife." The content reported by the newspaper is as follows:
Abu Zarin, 31 years old, is a firefighter at Temerloh station, has appeared in several newspapers with the headline "Thai man marries a venomous snake like his late ex-girlfriend".

The man was devastated after his girlfriend passed away five years ago. However, his mood improved when he found a cobra, which he said bore a “striking resemblance” to his girlfriend and he was convinced that it was his girlfriend who had reincarnated as a snake.
Because he believed that humans would reincarnate as animals after death, he lived with this 3m long cobra.
After hearing the news, Abu was extremely shocked and gave an official response to this mistake. Abu said that he kept venomous snakes at the Malaysian Police and Rescue Department for teaching purposes.

Abu trains students to handle snakes when they face real-life situations. Malaysia is a tropical country with a large number of venomous snakes. “The photo they posted is mine. They used my photo without my permission and made up a story about me marrying a snake,” Abu said. “I want to say that I am very disappointed with the attitude of Western journalists. They seriously violated journalistic ethics, especially when they took my photo from my personal Facebook,” Abu told The Star.

Abu explained that he raises venomous snakes to better understand the creatures’ habits and behavior. “I live with venomous snakes to understand their behavior. Catching snakes is part of my job as a firefighter. I train young trainees how to handle a snake. After catching a snake, they can release it back into the wild,” Abu said. He emphasized that the most important goal is not to kill the snakes and release them safely.

Abu said he does not keep a snake in captivity all the time. When a new snake is caught, he releases the old one into the forest. Abu never keeps one snake for more than a year and has cared for four snakes in total.
“I have been training snakes since 2007. This hobby was passed down to me by my father. He is a snake lover,” Abu shared. “Snakes are not difficult to handle. There are many misunderstandings about this animal.”
After he spoke up, the misunderstandings were cleared up by everyone.
