Turns out I was pressing the toilet button the wrong way

When you press the flush button, have you noticed that almost every toilet has two buttons with different shapes (or characters), or is equipped with a lever with two different levels?
Many people often have the habit of pressing both buttons after using the toilet to flush the water strongly, but this is a mistake.
In fact, the manufacturer has made these two buttons for their own reasons and uses. These two buttons are actually the buttons to adjust the amount of water that will be flushed into the toilet. The small button is for "small flush", the amount of water released is only half of the tank, which is about 3 liters. The large button is for "big flush" with the entire amount of water in the tank being released at once, about 6 liters or 4.5 liters depending on the type of toilet. If you press both buttons at the same time, it will default to a big flush.
The same goes for the lever. If you push the lever halfway down, the amount of water that comes out is only half, if you push the lever all the way down, the amount of water that comes out will be double. Depending on the type of toilet, the lever works differently.
Pressing the right button helps you save the maximum amount of water. For flush toilets or those with a single button like in the old days, each flush uses up to 19 liters of water, which is a huge amount of water and a huge waste of both money and resources.
So, when going to the toilet, depending on the situation, choose the appropriate button to avoid wasting water resources, as well as saving costs. A small action, but it brings great meaning.
