Judy Ann Santos is making a much-anticipated return to the screen with a series of exciting new projects.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Friday, June 7, Judy Ann shared that her new ventures are thoughtfully chosen to balance her roles as a mother and wife.

"Actually, the material itself is also a big factor, because that's what dictates to me whether this would be worth it that I'm not at home a little more often," Judy Ann explained.

She emphasized that with her children now older and more independent, she can take on more projects, a prospect she eagerly embraces. "I still miss acting as it was my first love and that's why I got into this industry," she added.

Family remains her top priority, influencing her decisions on which projects to accept. Judy Ann revealed, "Every time someone offers me a project, I immediately lay out my reality as a mother, as a wife, that family time is important to me."

One of her exciting upcoming projects is the Philippine adaptation of Call My Agent, retitled Call My Manager, directed by Erik Matti. "That project was very fun," she said, expressing her enthusiasm for the unique script and the enjoyable atmosphere on set.

She highlighted the show's fresh take on the entertainment industry, offering viewers a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes workings of showbiz.

Additionally, Judy Ann is set to take on a Presidential role in the third installment of the action-drama series The Bagman.

She expressed her gratitude for the production team's patience, allowing her to fully commit to her role. "I like to give my whole self to a project," she shared, appreciating the professionalism and dedication of her co-actors and the entire production team.

Judy Ann also hinted at another potential milestone: participating in the 50th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival with a horror movie directed by Chito S. Roño. "Horror with director Chito Roño, hopefully it will go well," she said.

Reflecting on the significance of the MMFF, she added, "It's been a long time since we've made a movie, it's been a long time since I've made a horror film and my last movie for MMFF was 'Mindanao' and that was five years ago."
