Introducing Truth on the Line, The Philippine STAR’s first online news show

The Philippine STAR’s social media team is a force to be reckoned with as they embark on a new program followers can watch out for

MANILA, Philippines — What makes a stellar social media team? Diversity, where people come from different backgrounds, which contributes to a healthy environment abundant with creativity.

Inclusion, where members could come from different generations who are active on social media and do their part in keeping it a safe place.

Communication, where members feel safe to express themselves to each other, especially when they have questions related to technology.

Collaboration, where they naturally think, plan, and execute together; everyone contributes and is seen and heard.

Homegrown socmed star. Meet Kwek-kwek, The Philippine STAR’s resident cat that became viral after being featured on The Philippine STAR’s social media platforms.

All these elements make The Philippine STAR’s social media team thrive: the nose for news, the speed to catch and storify what’s trending, and the heart to help followers through the content they put out.

While it has been churning video content on its various platforms, The Philippine STAR re-invigorates its platforms with video content that provides quality information. In the first half of 2024 alone, PMG hit 1.6M video views on YouTube, thanks to its strong lineup of breaking news and entertainment content.
