He stood up, went to the bedroom, and saw Vanessa sleeping, her face peaceful, as if the last 24 hours had been just another day. That hurt more than the betrayal: her ability to sleep, even after everything, showed how far apart they truly were. To her, normality still existed; to him, everything was already debris.
When she woke up, she found Logan in the living room, standing with his phone in hand. He looked at her for a few seconds and then said, without raising his voice, "I sent the video. To everyone."
Her eyes widened. For a moment, the silence between them was absolute.
The impact was immediate: Vanessa took a step back, as if struck. She asked what he meant.
Logan responded directly: he explained he had sent it to the partners of every name she had mentioned in the video. He repeated he wrote nothing, explained nothing—he simply delivered the truth as it was. He said each person would deal with it however they chose.
She approached nervously, trying to grasp the scale of the fallout. She asked if he had gone crazy.
Logan held his composure: it wasn't madness, it was justice.
