It was small, black, and fastened in a way that made it obvious someone had hidden it there on purpose.

The son rushed forward and shouted, "Don't touch that!"

That was the wrong thing to say, because now everybody knew the box mattered.

The tow driver stepped back from the car and said, "I'm calling the police."

The son changed fast. One second he was screaming about his Porsche. The next, he was begging.

"Forget it," he said. "I'll move it. I'll move it right now."

I looked at him and said, "You said call someone who cares."

His mother forced a fake laugh. "This is a misunderstanding. We don't need police."

The tow driver shook his head. "A container fell from a vehicle during a legal tow. I'm not touching it."

The son looked at me with pure panic.

That was when I realized the parking was not the real story.

Two officers arrived about ten minutes later. His mother immediately rushed toward them and started talking fast.

"He damaged my son's car. He set this up. He's been targeting us."

I did not interrupt. I just opened my phone and showed the video.

The Porsche arriving over and over. The sign. The warning. The son laughing. The sideways parking. The tow truck arriving before anything fell. The mother threatening me days earlier. Every piece was there in order.

The first officer watched quietly. Then he looked at the son.
