The fig, scientifically known as Ficus auriculata[3], is a species of tree in the genus Ficus, which bears a fig-like fruit but is larger and has larger leaves. It is native to the Himalayas, southern China, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. It is an evergreen tree, but in some climates it may lose its leaves in the winter.
