Veteran entertainment writer, TV and radio host Cristy Fermin is said to be no longer surprised by Nadia Montenegro's admission that she and Baron Geisler are the parents of Nadia's daughter, Sophia Angela.

This is despite Nadia not directly mentioning Baron's name in the actress' interview with Julius Babae, although the actor's face is shown on the screen while the actress talks about the father of her youngest daughter.

Nadia also has quotes that clearly refer to Baron, such as the actor's story about meeting Nadia's son while promoting his new movie.

BARON GEISLER'S INTERVIEW

In Cabinet Files' exclusive conversation with Cristy this Thursday morning, June 27, 2024, he recounted that he and Nadia spoke after Baron admitted in an interview in March 2024 that he had a daughter that was hidden from the public.

Baron did not mention the name, but the public strongly suspected that what was reported in 2008 that he was referring to the real father of Nadia's child.

According to Cristy, Nadia gave her permission in March 2024 to discuss the issue on her programs. But the 52-year-old actress has a request.

Cristy said, "He just told me, 'Mom, go ahead and talk, just don't mention my name.' That's clear.

"'Just don't mention my name. Alright, Mom, I am giving you the go signal. I just don't want you to mention my name.'

"Maybe he was keeping a lot of things before. He is Robin Padilla's in the Senate."

Nadia is currently serving as Senator Robin Padilla's political affairs officer.

Nadia continued, "He's going viral and I respect that. But his consent for me to address the issue, that's more than enough for me.

"It was more than enough for me when he said, 'Yes, Mom, I'm giving you the go-signal. Just don't mention my name.'"

NADIA MONTENEGRO'S 2008 INTERVIEW

Cristy was one of the main characters in the issue that the public celebrated in 2008.

He was the one who broke the news that Nadia secretly gave birth to a baby in a hospital in Pasig City.

Cristy's exposed secret caused ABS-CBN management to fire her as co-host of the defunct showbiz talk show The Buzz, due to Nadia's complaint.

In an exclusive interview by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) with Nadia on October 6, 2008, she bluntly said that the news spread by Cristy about her were "outrageous lies".

"How ridiculous!" said Nadia.

"I can't imagine how she [Cristy] can concoct outrageous lies. Well, if that were true, Boy should have divorced me already!"

The "Boy" Nadia is referring to is former Caloocan City Mayor Macario Asistio Jr., Nadia's husband who passed away on February 6, 2017.

"My gosh, nothing like that happened in my life! Can it be a secret when so many people know me? And I also have children.

But in Nadia's interview with Julius Babao that was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the actress admitted to having a child whose father was not her late husband.

But he said he didn't keep it a secret from the people who should know, including his children and Boy.
