'It’s Showtime' hosts share message for Ryan Bang after engagement announcement

It’s Showtime celebrates Ryan Bang's engagement.

It's Showtime host Ryan Bang announced his engagement to Paola Huyong on June 29 through Instagram.

The couple's engagement was celebrated on the same day on It's Showtime, with heartfelt messages from Ryan's co-hosts Amy Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, Cianne Dominguez, Teddy Corpuz, Jhong Hilario, Karylle, Vhong Navarro, and Vice Ganda.

Ryan couldn't hide his happiness as he thanked his Showtime family. Amy praised Ryan's growth, saying, "Your smile is too much, Ryan. I'm so proud of you because I witnessed the man that you have become. You know that, how the Lord prepared you for this journey, right? Because you are such an obedient son, you are a very good person, you have a very good heart that's why the Lord blessed you with a woman who is also very good, very beautiful and very kind, who will be with you forever. So God Bless you both, we love you Ryan.”

Teddy humorously remarked, "You know what Ryan told me earlier, 'I'm not your baby boy anymore.'" Amy added, "He achieved his goal, he prayed for it a lot. How did you prepare? You didn't tell me, we all woke up earlier, huh? Is Ryan engaged?'”

Ryan expressed his gratitude. "But Tyang, I really want to thank God first for allowing that moment last night, that God agreed for us to be together and I proposed and then I want to thank his parents, I went to their house, really - They say yes to me. Of course I asked for Paola's hand in order to get engaged, to propose. And I also want to thank Paola, she said yes to me, I will make you [the] most happiest girl in the world.”

Vice became emotional, recalling the previous day's events. Nothing. I'm just so proud," Vice said emotionally, trying to hold back his tears. Ryan added, "Brother Vhong, when Paola said yes to me, I immediately called Mami (Vice Ganda), we did Facetime, we cried. Thank you mom.”

Vice expressed her pride in Ryan. "I was very proud of him, then one time when Paola was here last week, I said 'Hey thank you, since you became Ryan's girlfriend, it seems that his handsomeness has been unstoppable. I was very touched because I was the first one he told."

Ryan thanked Vice for his support. "Of course, you're the one I want to know first." Vice concluded, "No, but I have nothing to worry about. I know Paola will say yes, no one will say no to Ryan, because you're not one to say no. I don't see anything negative about you, you are such a beautiful person, and you and Paola are lucky to have each other."

Ryan and Paola, who met at a football game, got engaged eight months after publicly announcing their relationship in October 2023. The couple's parents recently met during a trip to Seoul, fulfilling Ryan's dream of having dinner with his parents despite their separation.
