The event comes amid heightened focus on China, particularly after President Xi Jinping warmly welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin, referring to him as an "old friend" and shaking his hand in a public display of camaraderie.

North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-Un, also attended the parade, marking a rare moment when the three world leaders stood together in Beijing.

The military parade in the Chinese capital was organized to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Leaders from 26 countries that have close ties to China were present at the event, where China showcased an extensive new lineup of weaponry and nuclear missiles.

One of the highlights of the parade was the introduction of robot dogs. These robotic units, displayed atop armored vehicles, could potentially be deployed on the battlefield in the future. Known for their innovative approach to 'intelligentized warfare,' China is pushing the boundaries of technological advancements in military strategy, as noted by The Independent.

Additionally, a sea drone, measuring approximately 60 feet in length, was revealed. China's new nuclear-capable weapons were also on full display, including the JL-1, which made its debut on a military truck. The parade also included new YJ missiles, such as the anti-ship YJ-21, which boasts a range of over 600 kilometers, as reported by Bloomberg.

President Xi Jinping also issued a stern message to the world during the event, warning that nations must choose between "peace and war."

During the parade, a hot mic captured what appeared to be a private conversation between Xi and Putin. The Russian leader's remarks were being translated for Xi, with the interpreter conveying Putin's words: "With advances in biotechnology, human organs will increasingly be transplanted, allowing us to live younger and possibly even achieve immortality."

In response, Xi remarked, "In this century, it is anticipated that people may live up to 150 years."

The conversation provided a chilling glimpse into the leaders' discussions on technological advancements and longevity.
