You had the power to tell the captain. You had the power to issue a formal red-card warning. You did none of those things. Instead, you offered him more wine.""I... I'm so sorry. Please don't fire me," Evelyn wept."That's not my decision to make right here," Seraphina said, though it absolutely was. "Your future will be decided by Jonathan Briggs and HR. But I will tell you this, Evelyn: your actions tonight showed me that you are not, in your current state, qualified to lead a team. You are demoted from purser, effective immediately. You will finish this flight as a standard attendant."She turned to Ben. "Ben, you will be the acting lead for the remainder of the flight. Log the incident, prepare the cabin for landing, and coordinate with the ground crew. Can you do that?"
