Well, that's the way it is: another failed marriage for the same reason. I can't help but wonder why I keep getting married.
Update:
After we told our children about our separation, my kids understandably struggled with the news. My youngest, who is now 16, took it the hardest; she couldn't understand why we couldn't reconcile.
The following day, my oldest daughter came to talk to me in the room that my wife and I used to share (my wife now sleeps in the guest room). My daughter told me that she had tried to reach her mother, knocking on her door, but she hadn't been getting any response. She was confused about when and how things had gone wrong, because just a few days ago we all seemed happy during the vacation trip.
She sat next to me on the bed, trying to get me to reveal the reason for the divorce. Her continuous crying almost led me to slip up, as she put a lot of pressure on me. She mentioned that we had shut them out of our lives, and that bothered me because I didn't think we had. But I reassured her that her mother would let her know when things had calmed down. I explained that her mother and I had a great marriage and had raised three beautiful kids, for which I was grateful; however, there comes a time when people fall out of love, and that's what happened.
