According to information from Khaosod, on December 9, authorities discovered 5 people tragically dead in a water tank of a fish sauce factory in Nong Khaew, Lom Sak district, Phetchabun province, Thailand. Police from the Lom Sak Police Department, along with doctors from Lom Sak Hospital and Phetchabun Provincial Forensic Police coordinated to inspect the scene.

The scene of the incident was a one-story factory. Inside the factory, the bodies of 5 dead men were found in a wastewater pond. There is also a strange stench of a gas believed to be hydrogen sulfide.

After the bodies were recovered from the tank, their identities were revealed as follows: Mr. Kulachat, 41, the son-in-law of the factory owner, Mr. Euak, 70, Mr. Lam, 76, Mr. Jakkrit, 50, and Mr. Suphakrit, 30. The four people, in addition to the son-in-law of the factory owner, were all workers.

Preliminary investigation showed that before the incident, the factory owner had instructed the workers to clean the water tank. After being unable to contact his employees, the factory owner called his friend to coordinate with the police to control the surrounding area before both of them went to check inside the factory, eventually discovering five bodies in the tank.

The officials then assigned the rescue team from the Ruamkatanyu Lom Sak Foundation to transport the bodies to Lom Sak Hospital and Phetchabun Hospital for a detailed autopsy to determine the cause of death.
